Christmas Crossword Worksheets

The week before winter break is hard to fill, and a crossword keeps a room full of excited kids reading and spelling. Each clue in these Christmas crosswords describes something from the season, such as a reindeer, a wreath on the door or cookies left out for Santa, and students write the word into the numbered boxes.

Start first and second graders on the easy puzzle, with six short words like star, bell and gift. Third graders can try the medium puzzle with ten words. The hard puzzle gives fourth and fifth graders twelve longer words, including poinsettia, nutcracker and gingerbread, and a clue about Scrooge from A Christmas Carol. The last page of each PDF shows the solved puzzle for checking.
